The elevation of Mount Kailash is (6638 M) above sea level, and is located in Tibet(China) in the northern region from the Himalayas. It is also claimed as the spiritual center of Tibetan religion, Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism. Mount Kailash is the origin of four rivers, namely, Brahmaputra, Indus, Sutlej and Karnali. The four directions of the mountain represent four faces of animals. The east is Ashwamukh, the face of a horse, the west is the face of the elephant, the north is the face of the lion and the south is the face of the peacock.
The boundary of the summit is 52 km. Mansarovar lake is surrounded by mountains which is described in the Puranas as 'Kshira Sagar'. Kshir Sagar is at a distance of 40 km from Kailash, in which Vishnu and Lakshmi are enthroned on the bed of Sheshnag and are operating the whole world.
Visiting Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Helicopter is easier for elderly people. It provides spectacular views of Kailash and Mansarovar from up top.
